Head Coach - 6th Season
Cote, who piloted the Rams to a school-record 16 dual wins in 2010-11, begins his sixth season as Cornell's head men's tennis coach.
Cote's Rams have posted four consecutive 10-win seasons, including last season's 14-11 club that took fifth in the Iowa Conference Team Tournament. In 2010-11, Cornell posted a 16-11 record (6-2 in the IIAC) and notched a school-best third-place showing in the IIAC Team Tournament.
Cote, who owns a 62-69 career dual mark, has taken the Rams to the IIAC Tournament in each of his five seasons on the Hilltop. His 2009-10 team finished 13-16 overall, 5-3 in the IIAC and placed sixth in the conference tournament. The Rams took fourth in the league tournament in 2008, and fifth in 2009.
Cote, a native of Montreal, Canada, served as men's and women's assistant tennis coach at Graceland University from 2002-07. He was admissions counselor at Graceland during the 2006-07 academic year.
Cote received an associate's degree in sales and marketing at Montmorency (Laval, Quebec) College in 1993. He was head coach and tennis specialist at Boisbriand City (Quebec) from 1994-98. Cote earned a bachelor's degree in education, with an endorsement in physical education, at Graceland in 2002.
Cote was a four-year varsity letterwinner on Graceland's tennis team. A two-time national qualifier, Cote ranked eighth in the NAIA in doubles play during the 2002 season. Graceland qualified for the national tournament in three of the four years Cote played there. Cote was team captain two years.
