Laura Ettlin

Sophomore Laura Ettlin set a school record in the women's 5,000-meter run. Ettlin blew away her competitors in the 5000 with a winning time of 18 minutes, 14.08 seconds. She broke the school mark of 18:20.84, set by Elise Mead last season. Ettlin shaved 31 seconds off her previous-best time in the event. She left her closest challenger more than one minute behind.

Justin Brown

Senior Justin Brown fired a complete-game gem in Game 2 Sunday, his last home start on the mound as a Ram. The right-hander yielded just two singles and no earned runs over seven innings. Brown struck out one and walked three. Brown did not allow an earned run in eight innings last week against the top two teams in the Iowa Conference standings (Coe and Central).
