MOUNT VERNON – Cornell 197-pounder Alex Coolidge and heavyweight Carl Gaul are among the Division III leaders in the latest NCAA wrestling award standings.

Coolidge is tied for fifth in the Most Dominant Wrestler category for all weight classes in Division III. The standings are calculated by the total number of match result points divided by the total matches wrestled against opponents in the same division.

Coolidge, a junior who is 25-3 on the season, averages 4.5 points per match. Nazar Kulchytskyy of UW-Oshkosh tops the Most Dominant Wrestler list with a 5.4 scoring average.

Coolidge ranks third in technical falls with six, covering a total time of 33:46 in such wins against Division III foes. Kyle Kwiat of Ohio Northern is No. 1 with 14 technical falls.

Gaul (26-10) stands seventh with 12 pins in a total time of 31:48 against Division III competition. The junior has posted 41 career falls, good for fourth on Cornell's modern-day career list. Kulchytskyy tops Division III this season with 16 falls.

Coolidge is rated No. 2 at 197 in this week's NWCA Division III Individual Rankings. The 2012 NCAA qualifier has won seven consecutive matches and is unbeaten against Division III opponents. Coolidge has dominated his competition in recording 73 total takedowns, while allowing just six.

Coach Mike Duroe's young Rams (5-5) slipped two spots to No. 30 in the NWCA Top 30 Team Rankings. Cornell hosts No. 22 Luther (10-8) at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 on Senior Night in the Small Multi-Sport Center.

The Rams own a seven-dual winning streak against the Norse.
