MOUNT VERNON - Cornell senior forward Rachel Wynn has been named Iowa Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 16.

Wynn totaled two goals and an assist in two matches last week. She scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 overtime victory at Coe Saturday, snapping the team's 15-match winless skid in conference play.

Wynn played a hand in both of Cornell's scores in a 3-2 double overtime loss to Dubuque Tuesday in Mount Vernon. Her goal early in the second half tied the match at 1-1. Wynn assisted on a Karime Nava goal that evened the count at 2-2 late in the final period, eventually forcing overtime.

Wynn is second on the team this fall in scoring with eight points (3 goals, 2 assists). Two of her scores resulted in game-winners.

The Rams (5-11 overall, 1-4 IIAC) travel to play nationally-ranked Wartburg Wednesday in a 5 p.m. kickoff in Waverly. Cornell plays Central at 3 p.m. Saturday in the home finale.
