Craw, seeded 10th out of 24 qualifiers, posted a mark of 42 feet, 8.75 inches on her second of three preliminary attempts. She finished ninth in her flight and came up 14.5 inches shy of earning a berth in the finals.
Craw, a three-time national qualifier in the shot put, entered the meet as an All-America hopeful after launching a school-record outdoor toss of 45-7.75 set last weekend in Rock Island, Ill.
Craw also competed in the 2011 and 2009 indoor national meets. She is the fourth Ram under 11th-year head coach Lonnie Speidel to make three appearances at the NCAA track and field championships, joining Lynn Schneider, James Klobucar and Andy Stoecken.
