PELLA – Cornell's women's soccer team was shut down by the Central Dutch on a drizzly Saturday afternoon in Pella, falling 5-0.

The Rams (2-11) struggled against a formidable Central (10-2) team that has not lost a home match since 2015.

Goalkeeper Raphaela Cogan (FR/Northfield, Minn.) led the Cornell defense, making seven saves in the match.

The Dutch, qualifiers of the Iowa Conference tournament the past six seasons, put in four markers in the first half and added another at the 52-minute mark.

Cogan played all 90 minutes in net for the Rams.

Coming up – Cornell plays host to University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in Mount Vernon.
