MILWAUKEE, Wis. The Cornell men's lacrosse team was defeated by MSOE Saturday afternoon 13-8 in a conference showdown at Viets Field.

With the loss to MSOE the Rams (7-7 overall, 3-4 MLC) were eliminated from contention for their first trip to the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament.

MSOE (7-7 overall, 4-3 MLC), which currently sits in fourth place in the conference standings, rattled off the games next five goals, going up 6-2, and was able to maintain that lead the rest of the way.

Cornell's comeback attempt was led by Fisher who netted three of the Rams four goals in the third quarter. Evan Bush (FR/Prior Lake, Minn.) also found the back of the net from a Fisher assist. The four goals cut the deficit to 11-8 after the third quarter.

That was the end of scoring on the day for the Rams, who failed to score in the final frame. MSOE tacked on two more goals to secure the victory.
