MACOMB, Ill. – Libby Schnoor (JR/Camanche, Iowa) had a strong performance in the women's jumping events to pace Cornell's track & field teams at Saturday's Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational at Western Illinois University.
Cornell fielded a partial squad at the non-scored meet.
Schnoor was the top Division III finisher in the high jump with a runner-up height of 5 feet, 1 inch. The junior also turned in the best long jump in the Midwest Conference this season with a fifth-place distance of 16-8.50.
Nikki Leach (SR/Landenberg, Pa.) placed fifth in the women's 100 hurdles, crossing in 15.36. She also took fifth in the triple jump (34-7).
Dominique Fleming (SO/Winterset, Iowa) ran 5:05.59 in the 1500 for fifth out of 18 runners. Zaria Lambert (FR/Davenport, Iowa) (26.55) and Emma Cochrane (SO/Mount Vernon, Iowa) (26.71) went 12th and 14th, respectively in a 200-meter field of 34 finishers.
Freshman Matt Stoll (FR/West Bend, Wis.) recorded Cornell's top individual finish on the men's side, placing eighth out of 32 competitors in the 1500. He was clocked in 4:12.89.
Zach McNanna (FR/Hinckley, Ill.) anchored the 4x400 relay to fifth place in 3:29.02. The quartet included Ethan Berube (SO/Cottage Grove, Minn.), Mickey Hines (FR/Mount Vernon, Iowa) and Jordan Proby (SO/Omaha, Neb.). McNanna was ninth in the triple jump (41-10.75).
