Craw set an NCAA automatic mark in winning the shot put at the Spartan Open Saturday in Dubuque. She delivered a personal-best toss of 46 feet, .50 inches on her final attempt, which qualified her for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships March 11-12 in Bexley, Ohio.
Craw's mark leads the IIAC and is tied for fourth in Division III this indoor season. Her throw set a new facility record at University of Dubuque's A.Y. McDonald Track. Craw also placed fourth in the weight throw with a distance of 44-09.75.
Head coach Lonnie Speidel's Rams have now had a track and field athlete honored by the IIAC after each of the team's last five meets. This is Craw's second conference weekly award during the span.
